Seoulbox is a Korean snack subscription box that makes it possible for you to experience a bit of South Korea from home.
One of my favorite aspects of teaching English in South Korea was undoubtedly the food, snacks, and candy. I’m a snackaholic, after all! So living in a country that’s famous for unique flavors and goodies was quite literally like a kid in a candy store.
Now that it’s been a few years since I’ve left, I find myself missing the culture, food, and incredibly beautiful things to do in Korea. And while it’s not so easy to hop on a plane whenever I want, treating myself to Korean snacks is a little more feasible.
So when Seoulbox reached out to me about doing a review of their Korean snack subscription boxes, I was more than excited to relive some of my good ole days in SK. Here’s a rundown of what’s inside the Seoulbox Signature and V boxes, the price, and what you can expect from this lovely company.

About Seoulbox: A Korean Snack Subscription Box Delivering to Seoulmates Around the World
Seoulbox opened up shop in 2019 and was started by two friends on a walk through the streets of London. Fully realizing that Korean culture was making waves internationally, they wanted to help others experience Korean culture in a box. Today, that dream has been fully realized, and Seoulbox offers three different Korean subscription boxes.

The Seoulbox Signature is a Korean snack subscription box that delivers exciting Korean to your doorstep every month. The Korean candy and snacks inside are curated to showcase what’s currently popular and revolve around a monthly theme. A Review of Seoulbox V – A Vegetarian and Halal-Friendly Box
The Seoulbox V Box is very similar to the Signature Box, with the major difference being that the snacks inside are meat-free. Those who’ve lived and experienced Korean culture, know just how difficult it can be, being a vegetarian in South Korea.
So the fact that Seoulbox is thoughtful of those with different dietary restrictions is really exciting.
It’s worth mentioning, however, that these snacks aren’t necessarily certified halal, but the team at Seoulbox does their best to choose snacks that are vegetarian and halal-friendly.

Seoulbox’s Other Product – Seoulbox Life
Seoulbox also offers a subscription that is filled with lifestyle items instead of focusing on Korean candy and snacks. That box is the Seoulbox Life and is a little different in the way it ships as well. Unlike the boxes above, Seoulbox Life only ships once every three months and is typically seasonally themed.
I didn’t personally receive one of the life boxes, so I can’t give a review, but here’s what you can expect inside, according to their website:

Seoulbox Monthly Theme
As mentioned, every box features items that not only showcase Korean snacks overall, but are centered around the season or a specific theme.
The boxes I’m reviewing are from October and have pumpkin and sweet potato items and Halloween candies. The Magazine also shares spooky related facts about Korea.
Inside The Seoulbox Magazine
Every box comes with a neat little magazine that I found pretty cool and interesting! Inside, you can find awesome tidbits about Korean culture, the language, and themed Korean folktales, myths, and more.
There’s also a visual tasting guide that tells you what the snacks are in English. This is super helpful because many of the snacks are entirely in Korean, so having the English names and descriptions also allows easy shopping if you find a snack you are dying to have again.

When you place an order for a Seoulbox subscription, you have a few options for payment.

Shipping is not included in the price of the box and costs $12.50 per box.
Seoulbox ships their Korean snack boxes to addresses from all over the world, so no matter where you live, you can experience a taste of Korea. The parcels are shipped express and should arrive at your doorstep within 2-5 business days from the monthly drop date.
Pros and Cons of the Seoulbox Korean Snack Subscription Box
Pros
- The packaging is very visually beautiful and bright. The colors and designs mimic the patterns found on Korean temples, which I thought was really cool.
- The boxes are packed pretty well, so there wasn’t anything particularly damaged other than one slightly bent postcard and one broken snack stick.
- I appreciate the overall variety of items and love how cute and good quality the face mask and Kpop item are.
Cons
- One thing to note is that the Seoulbox Magazine only shares a tasting guide for what’s inside the Signature Box. It did not share the different snacks in the V Box.
- I also received a snack or two that was slightly different from what was in the tasting guide, but that’s no biggie. Just to note that you may receive slightly varied items depending on availability.
- Another con is that I wish the boxes had more salty snacks. It comes with a lot of variety but overall there were only 3-4 non-sweet items.
Overall, I really enjoyed my Seoulboxes and I definitely recommend Seoulbox! Korean snacks are one of the best things to buy in Korea and an easy way to experience a little bit of the culture at home.
